This eight-channel automatic mixer features Shures patented Directional IntelliMix. The AMS8100 is designed specifically for installed sound applications. Designed only for use with AMS microphones, its features include adjustable EQ per channel, highly RF resistant chassis and circuitry, adjustable output limiter, complete logic control of microphone activation, linking capability with the SCM810, SCM800, and FP410, and an internal power supply. 120/230 Vac power.
The Shure Automatic Microphone System consists of integrated microphones and mixers that function exclusively as a system. AMS solves the problems of multi-microphone applications, and is used in thousands of boardrooms, legislative chambers, city halls, conference rooms, courtrooms, churches, broadcast studios, and distance learning environments.
Shures patented Automatic Microphone System provides unique direction-sensitive gating by continually reading and comparing the separate audio signals provided by two matched unidirectional capsules placed back-to-back in each AMS microphone. AMS microphones are activated only when addressed within a 120 degree acceptance angle. No threshold or sensitivity adjustments are necessary.
The AMS8100 incorporates logic terminals to provide functions such as LED indicators, mute switches, loudspeaker attenuation, chairman override, etc.
AMS mixers can be linked together to control up to 400 AMS microphones.
AMS mixers and microphones are designed for use only with each other. Proper automatic performance results only when AMS components operate together.
